I was thinking today about the last (or next, if you haven't read it yet) post I made, realized that to the observer it appeared I was pleading for them to like Fall Out Boy, like I needed them to accept my music.
That's not what I meant. (I seem to say that often)
What I was trying to say was that people shouldn't look at them negatively just because someone somewhere said they sucked. In fact, I don't care all that much about what anyone else thinks.
In my geometry class these two kids got into a very loud argument about music that's "poserish", whatever that means. One kid was naming bands, as if he needed the other kid to accept his music or he would explode. Well apparently the other kid didn't enjoy this, and she began using very forceful words, which didn't stop the first kid from firing bands.
The entire time I was thinking, "Why does it even matter what she thinks of his music? She isn't the one who has to listen to it."
What i'm trying to say here is that people shouldn't care that much what people do with their lives. I'm listening to Panic(!) at the disco as we speak, or type or whatever, a band widely thought to be second only in "poserishness" to Fall Out Boy, and I'm loving it. You might not, but I do.
And that's enough for me.
This is a soapbox metaphor
This blog will insult you. You will disagree You will say "He's too young to have these opinions" You will say I am speaking out of turn or out of context. But you read. This is a soapbox metaphor

Have you ever wanted to disappear? And join a monastery go out and preach on manic street?
Who will I be when I wake up next to a stranger, on a passenger plane passenger plane?
I like Fall Out Boy.
Why is that like coming out of the closet?
You're either met with weird glances or it's blown off with a "We love you anyway." [After a second reading i realized that this may be a slightly offensive metaphor, but then I remembered that I warned you guys when you came here that it might be a bit offensive. Also, it's shockingly accurate. Honestly, there are people out there who will think less of a fall out boy fan than a gay person, not that there's anything bad about being gay, but there are people out there who disagree.]
Why does everyone think Fall Out Boy is so horrible?
Thnks fr th mmrs is a horrible song.
Twenty Dollar Nose Bleed is not.
Dance, Dance is not.
I've got a dark alley and a bad idea that says you should keep your mouth shut is not.
But EVERYONE associates them with Thnks fr th Mmrs.
Someone listen to something besides their singles, then you can judge them.
I just listened to 4 or 5 Justin Bieber songs for a response paper. I think you can sit through the 3 fall out boy songs i just listed without dying.
Or at least, just listen to/read the lyrics, they're usually pretty good.
I wrote this on Witty Observations, then realized it would be better suited for this blog. It's kind of preachy. Now I have to think of something to write for the other one. Great.

I just had a talk with my mom about religion.
My mom is baptist.
I'm atheist.
We watched that news, it talked about how adults were changing their religion, away from the one they were raised as.
My mom turned to me and said.
"There's hope for you yet."
After an exchange for words I read out of our World History book. It hold documents which give us a look at the past in a first account. I forget what the fancy word for it is.
"I read this and one second I was like 'hey, I really like this' then I was like 'wow, that's not cool'"
"'Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another...
"Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought foe what is noble in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you...
"...leave it to the wrath of God..."
Here's where I stopped to say "I don't like that, let's just leave him, God will punish him." I then thought that if this was true, why would we need police? I continued.
"...leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written. 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.' No, 'if your enemy is hungry feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by doing so you will heap burning coals upon his head.' Do not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
That was the part I liked. Kind of "kill them with kindness"-y. I then realized, "Well, most religions are started by picking out of religions why didn't like right?" So, I might start my own religion. I'll look around, do some soul searching.
So, I'm either going to find, or start a religion that holds a lot of the Christian beliefs, but with no God, and no Heaven or Hell. You're a nice person because you want to be, not because you fear God, or because you don't want to be sent to hell.
Or I'm just going to say I am, then not do anything. That seems to be the way to go lately for me.
